Terms of service
These terms cover using Blue Chaty as a shared inbox: what a workspace may do with it, what it is responsible for, and what this software does and does not promise.
In effect from 20 August 2026.
Who may use it
An account belongs to one person and is not shared. A workspace is created and run by its owner, who decides who else may join it and what they may do. Anyone connecting a Facebook Page, an Instagram professional account, a LINE official account, or a mailbox must be authorised to answer customers on it.
What the workspace is responsible for
- The conversations it holds. The business that connected the account is the one customers wrote to, and the one answerable for what is said in reply and for how that data is handled.
- Following each provider's own rules — Meta's platform terms and messaging policies, LINE's, and the terms of the mail host — including the windows in which a customer may be replied to.
- Keeping its member list current: removing people who have left, so a former member cannot read conversations they no longer have a reason to see.
What may not be done with it
- Sending unsolicited bulk messages, or using a connected account to reach people who did not write in.
- Uploading unlawful material, or content the workspace has no right to send.
- Attempting to reach another workspace's data, or to work around the isolation between workspaces.
- Reselling access, or using the service to build a competing product from the data of the businesses using it.
Messages and delivery
Blue Chaty hands messages to the provider that owns the channel and reports back what the provider said. A message is shown as sent only once the provider accepted it, and a failure is shown as a failure. Delivery beyond that point is the provider’s: this software cannot promise that a message arrives, that it arrives quickly, or that a provider will not refuse it — Meta’s reply window is one such refusal.
Availability
The service is offered as it stands, without a guaranteed level of availability. Interruptions happen: maintenance, provider outages, and failures of the infrastructure this instance runs on. Nothing here promises that no message is ever delayed while one of those is in progress.
Data
What is stored, who can see it, and how to have it removed is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
Ending it
A workspace may stop using the service at any time by disconnecting its channels, which ends the flow of new messages immediately. An account or workspace that is used to break these terms — or to break a provider’s — may be suspended, and where a provider requires it, the connected accounts disconnected.
Changes
These terms change as the product does. The date at the top says which wording is in force; continuing to use the service after it changes is acceptance of the current wording.
Contact
This instance has not published a contact address. Ask the owner of the workspace whose Page, Instagram account, LINE account, or mailbox you were messaging — they hold the data and can act on your request.
